About The Pearl
Since opening to the public in March 2008, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has established itself as a community resource bringing world-class art exhibitions and art education opportunities to the Northwest Houston community.
The Pearl is a non-collecting fine art museum, borrowing from public and private collections. The museum complements its exhibitions with an active schedule of programs and services. Founded on the community center concept, the Pearl reaches beyond traditional museums to enlighten, educate, and entertain.
The Pearl is housed in a former county library, leased to the museum and renovated through private funds, grants, and gifts. The Pearl is wholly supported through the community. Over 3,000 donors have given to the museum to date.

Chronicles: Art in the Spirit of Storytelling
Youth Art Exhibit
April 2nd to May 10th
Storytellers unravel worlds. From the marks of ancient palimpsests to the brush strokes of expressive paintings, visual art has remained a powerful medium for narration. It is human nature to chronicle our fantasies and realities, to express our existence. How do we narrate? Which legends are integral to our being? What is our story? This exhibit will uncover the spirit of young storytellers.
Chronicles: Art in the Spirit of Storytelling is a juried show with pieces selected by the Youth Art Council judged on theme, technique, personal expression, organization, integration, and artist statement.

Pearl School of Art
Small classes increase student interactions with talented faculty members. A distinguishing feature of the art classes at the Pearl School of Art is ready access to works of orginal art on exhibition at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.

Youth Classes
When children get a chance to express their creativity and dive into art, they develop confidence, increase their empathy, and discover how to look at the world from different perspectives. All those skills help prepare students to take on the world with passion and creativity.

Adult Classes
Artistic and creative expression offers many benefits. You’re busy with work and life demands, so fitting in an art class might be challenging. But, nurturing your creative side is essential to your well-being — not to mention lots of fun!

Art Workshops
Art Workshops are designed for beginners, but all levels are welcome! Artist instructors offer a variety of workshops throughout the year exploring different media and techniques. Typically, one daytime or two evening sessions are offered for each workshop.
