About The Pearl
Since opening to the public in March 2008, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has established itself as a community resource bringing world-class art exhibitions and art education opportunities to the Northwest Houston community.
The Pearl is a non-collecting fine art museum, borrowing from public and private collections. The museum complements its exhibitions with an active schedule of programs and services. Founded on the community center concept, the Pearl reaches beyond traditional museums to enlighten, educate, and entertain.
The Pearl is housed in a former county library, leased to the museum and renovated through private funds, grants, and gifts. The Pearl is wholly supported through the community. Over 3,000 donors have given to the museum to date.
Black History Month Celebration
Local artists residing in Houston or the greater Houston area will be featured on our website and social media platforms and one work of art will be on display in the museum for the duration of that month. This segment is an effort to connect Houston artists with each other and the local art community.
Exercise your mind and body with an hour of yoga in the gallery at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts. Sessions are led by professional instructors from the Woodlands Yoga Studio and will take place in our gallery spaces surrounded by beautiful works of art. Gift yourself a moment of calm and relaxation by joining us the first and third Thursday every month at 5:30 pm. Our first session will be held on February 1st and individual classes are just $15. See you there!
We will not have sessions on May 16th due to exhibition changeover or July 4th due to the holiday.

Floral Exhibit Open to Public: Saturday March 16th 10am-5pm Free viewing
The Society for the Advancement of Floral Design are proud to present a floral arrangement show in collaboration with the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts. These floral artists and their works are inspired by the exhibitions Post-Impressionist Exploration, Cobalt Blue: Unveiling the Beauty of Flow Blue, and Rooted in Rock. They find inspiration through the artwork and then create their own story through their unique style and floral techniques.
Pearl School of Art
Small classes increase student interactions with talented faculty members. A distinguishing feature of the art classes at the Pearl School of Art is ready access to works of orginal art on exhibition at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.
When children get a chance to express their creativity and dive into art, they develop confidence, increase their empathy, and discover how to look at the world from different perspectives. All those skills help prepare students to take on the world with passion and creativity.
Artistic and creative expression offers many benefits. You’re busy with work and life demands, so fitting in an art class might be challenging. But, nurturing your creative side is essential to your well-being — not to mention lots of fun!
Art Workshops are designed for beginners, but all levels are welcome! Artist instructors offer a variety of workshops throughout the year exploring different media and techniques. Typically, one daytime or two evening sessions are offered for each workshop.
