Pearl Guild Bus Trip – Friday, June 14, 2024

Best known today for her looped-wire sculptures, American artist Ruth Asawa (1926–2013) considered drawing as the center of her creative practice. Ruth Asawa Through Line is the first exhibition to focus on her lifelong drawing practice. Widely recognized as a sculptor, Asawa drew daily, exploring the world around her, turning everyday encounters into moments of profound beauty, endowing ordinary objects with new aesthetic possibilities. Drawing became a key part of her role as an arts educator and community leader in the Bay Area. Many of these 100+ works from public and private collections have not been exhibited previously.

  • $7 (Members) or $10 (Non-members) non-refundable check. Payable to CCFAA.
