Pearl Book Club
The Pearl will host one book club meeting during the summer exhibitions, scheduled for August 13th at 3 pm. We will be discussing The Secret Lives of Color by Kassia St. Clair after taking a tour through our exhibition Chromatica: A World in Color.

This book explores the history, culture, and science behind 75 different colors, dyes, and hues, from scarlet to imperial purple, blonde to charcoal. Organized by color, the book uses short, engaging essays to reveal surprising stories about how colors have influenced art, fashion, politics, and war, making it a cultural history told through the lens of color.
