Fused Glass Workshop: Suncatchers
Instructor: Loraine Tomon
Make your own fused glass suncatcher in this workshop! Pick a base shape - oval or heart are provided for you - and build your own design onto it using glass pieces, frit, and stringer.
Pieces will be be fired in a kiln and will be ready for pickup after approximately 3-5 days.
Exploring Tile Printing: Youth Workshop
Instructor: Jessica Simon
In this hands-on workshop for ages 8-12, children will use LEGO bricks and tools to explore the basics of printmaking. Students will experiment with shapes and patterns while turning their LEGO creations into unique works of art. No prior art experience is needed, just bring your imagination and a willingness to get creative! This workshop encourages kids to explore, experiment, and discover how blocks can become exciting tools for making art.

Create your own fused glass Christmas ornaments! Choose from many patterns available including a Christmas wreath, gingerbread house, bluebonnets, candy cane, cardinal, and more!

In this FREE Workshop designed for artists, Taft McWhorter will share his 20 years of experience in the professional visual art business, focusing heavily on the Houston art scene.
Topics will include who to know, where to show, marketing, pricing, donating, festivals and fairs, art gallery representation, negotiating your art, building an audience and many more vital subjects.

In this workshop designed for art educators of all grade levels, participants can expect a docent led tour with interactive gallery activities, a classroom session led by a museum educator whereby teachers will investigate strategies for engaging art criticism discussions and activities in their classroom, a pdf containing resources used in the workshop, and an opportunity to network with other art educator in the area!
