In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose touch with the present moment. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to slow down, focus on nature, and connect with your own creativity through the therapeutic practice of mindful watercolor painting.

Drawing inspiration from the work of renowned artist Georgia O’Keeffe, we’ll explore the beauty of flowers and the art of seeing, feeling, and creating with intention. Using watercolor paints, black ink pens, and mindfulness techniques, you will learn how to focus on the present, paying attention to the smallest details of nature and your own inner experience.

The class will begin with an introduction to mindfulness, breathing techniques, and the concept of contour drawing—helping you develop a deeper connection to your subject matter.

With books and materials provided, you’ll have the opportunity to paint on 9″x12″ watercolor paper, creating two to three pieces. This will then be followed by a reflective writing exercise, where you will explore your emotions and experiences during the creative process.

This class is about more than just painting; it’s about taking time for yourself, reconnecting with nature, and allowing your thoughts and feelings to unfold on paper. You will leave with not only beautiful artwork but also a renewed sense of peace and mindfulness.

This class is open to all skill levels! No prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided to you.
