2026 Youth Art Exhibition - Kaleidoscopes: Unique Voices in the Modern World
Presented by the Pearl’s Youth Art Council, the purpose of the Youth Art Exhibition, titled Kaleidoscopes: Unique Voices in the Modern World, is to curate an exhibition by teens with teen artwork, reinforcing the mission of making the museum accessible to teenagers in our local area.
Designer Handbag Bingo
Get ready for an afternoon of fashion, fun, and fundraising at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts Volunteer Guild’s Designer Handbag Bingo and Spring Fashions event!
Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the Pearl Fincher Museum in Spring, Texas, for exciting bingo games with chances to win fabulous designer handbags and door prizes. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and a spring fashion presentation featuring looks from local boutiques.
Proceeds from this stylish celebration benefit the museum’s Student Art Contest and other programs, supporting young artists and enriching our community through the arts.

Youth Art Council's Kaleidoscopes Kickoff
Join us on Sunday, March 15th from 5 - 7 PM for a fun kickoff event for the Youth Art Council’s 2026 Youth Art Exhibition, Kaleidoscopes: Unique Voices in the Modern World. This exhibition is curated by the Pearl’s Youth Art Council and features talented local young artists.

The Youth Art Council (YAC) creates synergy between local youth and the museum. Meet with YAC leaders at the event - Attendees will receive priority consideration for the 2026/27 application cycle!
Floral Pop-Up Exhibit
Come visit the pearl during regular open hours to see beautiful floral arrangements created by local floral partners including the Society for the Advancement of Floral Design (SAFD).

Taft McWhorter Pop-Up Exhibit
During this Pop-Up Exhibit, come and view an array of work by Taft McWhorter, one of the most widely collected artists in Houston, Texas.
Taft has been exhibiting his contemporary art for 20 years, amassing a dedicated group of over 900 local and international collectors. He embraces the dichotomy of vision versus freedom; control versus chaos. In the spirit of freedom and chaos, he employs a plethora of textures, colors and mediums while trying not to limit himself to any single style or form.
Taft states, “My paintings represent whatever it is I am feeling at the time. One layer at a time, I allow each painting to simply become”.
The Business of the Art Business
In this FREE Workshop designed for artists, Taft McWhorter will share his 20 years of experience in the professional visual art business, focusing heavily on the Houston art scene.
Topics will include who to know, where to show, marketing, pricing, donating, festivals and fairs, art gallery representation, negotiating your art, building an audience and many more vital subjects.
Student Art Contest
The Pearl’s annual Student Art Contest celebrates the creativity and artistic achievements of students in our community while encouraging meaningful engagement with the museum.
Through juried selection, students are honored at the contest Awards Ceremony and their artwork featured in an exhibition at the Pearl! Winning students receive additional prizes.
The deadline to submit online artwork entry forms for the2026 Student Art Contest is March 6, 2026.

Star Wars Lego Event
Join us at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts for a special Star Wars LEGO Pop-Up Event hosted by the Houston Brick Club!
Come explore an incredible display of Star Wars–inspired LEGO creations, from epic space battles to detailed character builds and imaginative scenes from a galaxy far, far away.
Visitors are also invited to create their own LEGO builds at an interactive table. Whether you’re a Jedi Master, new to the Force, or just love a good LEGO build, you won’t want to miss this stellar event at the Pearl!
2026 Pearls of Art Gala
The Pearls of Art Gala is the Pearl Fincher Museum’s largest annual fundraiser, traditionally raising a significant portion of the museum’s operating support each year through dinner, dancing, auctions, and community celebration.
The 2026 Gala will honor Bob and Pam Hughes, long-time community philanthropists and significant supporters of the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.
