About the Gala

The Pearls of Art Gala is a black-tie optional event which includes a Silent Auction, Live Auction, Dinner, Dancing, and more! This year’s gala is chaired by Carol Cobb and Linda Fowler, with music by the Richard Brown Orchestra.

Our Honorees

Our 2025 honorees are Susan and Don Pine, who have been residents of northwest Houston since 1978. Susan and Don have invested themselves in many areas of the community, including schools in Cy-Fair ISD, John Wesley Church, Champions Golf Club, and as long-time supporters of NAM and The Centrum.

Susan has a degree in education and considered herself a “professional volunteer” with CFISD while their two children were attending school. Most of Don’s career was spent as CFO of several energy trading businesses. When he retired in 2005, he found that his true passion was not finance, but the camera! Don joined the Board of the Pearl in 2011, and his 2020 photographic exhibition “Vistas and Voyages” allowed him to share his passion with many visitors to the Pearl.

About the Pearl

Founded in 2008, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts exists to provide direct, first-hand access to original works of art, and to offer outstanding educational and public programming. As the only Fine Arts museum in Harris County outside the city center of Houston, the Pearl operates completely through the generous donations of individuals, businesses, and foundations from the greater Houston community, and is free to all.
