Opera Opsidedown Concert by Roger Keele and Friends

Think classical musicians have no sense of humor? With in-depth knowledge and barbed wit, concert comedienne Anna Russell affectionately satirized “classical” music and its more pretentious practitioners, and her work is still beloved 70 years later. Join pianist Roger Keele, with singers Nathan Holmes (baritone), Jimmy Jacobson (tenor), Shannon Jacobson (soprano), and Rose Kearin (soprano) for an afternoon of Ms. Russell’s hilarious spoofs of opera and art song (recently transcribed and edited by Dace Gisclard with the permission of her estate), in celebration of her legacy.
